Ball valve lapping gel

Published:  06 June, 2019

ENGIS UK, the European Division of Engis Corporation, has announced it has launched its new innovative ball valve lapping gel. Engis says it has worked closely with valve manufacturers to create the new LD Gel, which has been developed specifically for this application and offers a number of significant benefits.

The company says because the LD Gel cycles for longer, approximately twice the length of some compounds, lap rates are increased and downtime is reduced, cutting overall lapping time by up to 30-40%. The formulation of the LD Gel results in reduced scratching as well as lower scrappage rates and test stand failures, to near zero in some instances.
